ReplyDeleteAlthough it's shocking because we didn't suspect ZZ had a girlfriend, I feel happy for him. I still ship YuZhou as close friends, even brothers. All that love can't have been fake or destroyed. I hope now that it's established they're straight, the Chinese government will allow them to attend events, take part in shows and serials etc together without any ban or discrimination.

ReplyDeleteI knew this day would come. We can't blame them since we know how homosexuality is taken by Chinese government. Seriously it hurts a lot but we have to accept it. No one can change my mind that the attraction was there, something beautiful was there between them. It was nice knowing them for four years, i experience many beautiful memories with them, a feeling which will remain with me till i die. They were my gateway, my other world which was full of love and memories. I am not leaving, i will always be with them and low-key rooting for them. If i could just take some tablet to minimise my pain..........

I still firmly believe they are together once, but now, I just hope they can appear in a project together because romantically or not, these two have such a great chemistry together. May it have been a strategy they both agreed on to distract people from their real relationships? In the end nobody had a clue that ZZ had a girlfriend. I wonder whether JY will soon announce a marriage, as well.

At the airport today, ZZ confirmed to the paparazzi that he had got married and deliberately chose 10 March to announce his marriage. There is also a video but I don't wanna update it. But anyway it's true that he's got married to another woman.

ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost, thank you very very much for your dedication to this fandom, your tumblr and blogpost were my holy grail for the boys. I've never posted anything publicly, this will be the first and sadly the last so forgive me for my long post.
How are you Bummie? I cannot imagine what you are going through right now. I learned the news yesterday during my lunch break (European time) and lost appetite straight away, there was (and still has) a huge void in my heart like grieving a lost love. (I've only shipped them for 4 years, ironically!)
I learned from IG that lots of fans are angry with ZZ or even JY for letting this cp ship sailed for 6 years. (I don't have weibo/netizen to understand the whole picture). Although I start following them in 2018 but I started to ship them seriously after ZZ 2019 concerts. I even shed tears thinking how brave he was hinting about himself and jy's love at the concert.
Then the time came when I start questioning myself if ZZ was hinting all along to cpfs from a couple of years ago. He did say "he doesn't want to walk slowly anymore, he would not wait". He denied the music account which has their picture with strong words, he named his song "Detoxification" 解毒 when the song is actually a song about "interpretation"解讀.(pronounced the same in Chinese) He wanted to "detoxify" from "Addiction". In hind sight, his new song "Stay by my side" was dedicated to his bride, not JY. JY's recent 6th anniversary photo sighing ���� with an empty chair next to him now make me feel so sad as to indicate that ZZ has moved on. To be fair to them, it was our wild imagination about their love and so don't think we could feel angry about ZZ.
I've always said if any of the two boys have a gf, I wanted to be ZZ first as he seems to be the more "vulnerable" in terms of relationship. (How wrong was I��) ZZ is so brave to have done this during the peak of his carrier, he must love his wife so much to have protected her all this time and to make a risky move yesterday. (True ZZ style with his willfulness��)
I'm happy for ZZ and his wife. He has grown up, be a true man that he wanted to be, to be able to carry the responsibilities of his love like he once said. He deserved to have the love he wants and wishing him and his wife a wonderful life ahead.
I am sure we will all move on from yuzhou with fond memories, I do believe the chemistry between them was real during their debut and really hope they still have the brotherly love they deserved. I also hope that one day you will start new blogs shipping ZZ and JY individually with same amount of love for them both. My only wish now is to see them together on stage (may be ZZ concert?��) just to let us know that they are still very good friends.

Hi Bummie, I am the anon that posted about a distraction strategy (you even replied to me). After re-reading my post, I realized that I hadn’t phrased my thoughts properly. So, I am giving it another try. I know that this doesn’t help with the pain that we are now robbed of our space where we could delulu together. But I still feel the urge to share my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWhat I wanted to say is that some of the hints were too real. This ship wasn’t entirely built on delulu because ZZ and JY themselves provided some of the strongest hints. So, I have three theories:
1) They stayed in contact but as friends. The hints should either indicate a friendship and we misinterpreted them or they were part of a PR strategy to keep us busy and distracted. From what I understood about C-biz, Chinese celebrities don’t like to reveal their relationships until they are getting married. Maybe they have been dating women all along and used YZ ship as a distraction from their heterosexual relationships.
2) They stayed in contact, fell in love with each other, were a couple for some time but ultimately couldn’t make it work because the circumstances were against them and they are both working like crazy. ZZ has moved on and fell in love with his now wife.
3) They stayed in contact, fell in love with each other and are still a couple, but the political circumstances are getting more and more f-cked up and they had no choice but to opt for a heterosexual marriage.
In any case, I wish they are happy and can stay safe with their decisions. And I hope, that you are fine, Bummie!! I am virtually sending you a hug. Keep your head up and all the best! I don’t have an IG account yet but I might create one so that I can stay in contact with you. I miss you and your blog already!
the harsh truth cannot be denied, we are all in deep pain, and the birthday song makes it even harder for all of us, but i guess it proves that till a certain moment in time the ship was beautiful and real, thank you Bummi for your dedication. we all must find strength to move on and have best wishes for both of our boys. it is their choice and personal life, after all.
ReplyDeleteI am a silent follower of your blog. I understand your feelings right now because we are all shocked by the news. It is difficult to separate what we hope and desire from the real and intimate life of the protagonists. I think the disappointment comes from the fact that they had to make the situation clear to their fans and not let the yuzhou ship sail for 6 years with silence, which is almost like accepting the speculation that has been around them forever. I also want to think that maybe at some point everything was real but the circumstances of his situation in a country with so many restrictions like China was wearing down what could have been, opting for what we see today. In any case, it only remains to accept reality and wait, time will tell what the end will be. I wish him happiness, of course, we all deserve to be happy, but we also need time to process unexpected information. I can only thank you for your effort and dedication for so long.

ReplyDeleteI am very convinced that YuZhou was very real. My intuition tells me strongly that they were a real couple and from a logical point of view many things also point into that direction. And I think that they broke up only recently, but that ZZ was ready to move on some time ago already. There were signs that he was ready to leave the relationship. His song “Detoxify” was one of those signs. Or the poem that was uploaded on XIII for JY’s birthday.
I think I have an explanation for all of this. I believe that they were in a karmic relationship. I don’t know if you know about these or if you believe in them, but karmic relationships aren’t meant to last. They are meant to make the people in the relationship grow. And once someone is ready to move on from a karmic relationship, they will most likely soon find a partner for a long-lasting relationship. Which apparently happened in ZZ’s case.
